RIP

I had a used 2000 year model Ultra D-10. It was set up per the current GFI D10 chart.
RKL raised 1st string F# to G#, 2nd string D# to E and 6th string lower G# to F#.

The D-10 was traded for an ...

My guess is still the pseudo wraparound neck and it was screwed in to that.

My 82 Franklin was a different design and didn't have that screw. I disassembled the E9th neck and changer for cleaning.

The NV112 does not use a Molex connector for the reverb connections. It uses a different, more reliable connector.

It does have two Molex connectors in the power supply section. Reseat (unplug and ...

I have the tunable split on my GFI.
Tuning procedure:

First, back off (loosen) all the nylon tuning nuts for the 6th string, in case one is overtuned.
1. Tune the G# open
2. Tune the A raise
3 ...

I've owned 3 GFIs. An Expo S-10, An Ultra D-10 and an Ultra S-10 with pad (SD-10). The only reason, when I bought the Ultra S-10 was to get a keyless model. Tone, to my ears, was about the same, how ...

The XLR's are not mic level. They are balanced -10DBV level. About the same level as the unbalanced 1/4" jack outputs.

GFI's are light. SD-10 is 30lbs. S-12 in the same range.

GFI cases are not light. SD-10 case is 17lbs. If I were still playing out I would get a different case (or two piece).
