I wouldn't do that.
You can buy an adapter to go to a standard 1/4" jack.

I put different formica on an Excel pedal steel, however, an Excel is constructed differently than other pedal steels so it was a fairly easy project.
I changed it from black to white. Very Happy

When I played with a polka band out of Hutchinson, Minnesota I had a good arrangement of "Clarinet Polka" worked up on non pedal. I forget what tuning. Very Happy
