Why not? The original Tele pickup was sort of based on Leo Fender's lap steels.

Wow,that price went pretty high. Maybe ebay is the place to sell! yeah, that price seems a bit on the high side to me. I'd never pay that much for a similar lap steel. |

Yup. Think "Third Man Theme". You pluck the melody on the fretted neck using a thumbpick while the other right hand fingers hit the bass and chord strings. |

The original Hawaiian tuning was A high bass and I still use it.
Erv I was under the impression the oldest steel tuning was A low bass. |
