Justin, a lot of those old machines are worn out and hard to hold any accuracy with. I started with an old Atlas about 40 years ago, then went to an Logan about 20 years ago, but neither would come cl ...

I'm happy with my Grizzly stuff. Digital readouts are a bit expensive and time consuming to install and calibrate, but the effort is well worth it. It's the next best thing to numerical control. The m ...

Cabinet drop would have a lot to do with how much foot pressure is exerted when the pedal hits the stop. No two guitars require the exact same pressure to activate changes, and no two players will exe ...

You always need more than one steel, I'm down to 11 pedal steels, and a truck load of 6 stringers: 40 I think. At the height of my collecting about 6 or 7 years ago I had 113 guitars and steels and 27 ...

I believe Tommy White and Johnny Cox also use the Day floor pedal setup, and Hal Rugg did if I remember right.

I don't think there ever was a "standard" knee lever setup that goes with t ...

Both of the Zooms I mentioned and the Digitech 2112 are preamp/effects units. I have used the G3 with a Peavey PX300 powered cabinet and it works fine. All of these three units have XLR direct outs.
